Father Friday- God is Faithful

In today’s society it is hard to see a good example of someone who is faithful. Especially here in the US- everyone is set on looking out for numero uno. Everyone is busy putting themselves first. Rarely does anybody put someone else before themselves. All we see in media is that people are lying, cheating, stealing, and hurting others! Because of this everyone is search of a faithful friend, spouse, etc!

We all know how we want someone to be faithful, but how can we expect others to be faithful when they do not understand what it means or when they never see a good example of someone who is faithful?

What does it mean to be Faithful?

-It means somebody reliable.

-It means being a loyal supporter.

-It means believing firmly in something or somebody.

-It means being consistently trustworthy and loyal.

It’s time to stop looking at this world’s example of a faithful person.

Instead let’s look upwards. God is the ultimate when it comes to being faithful.

“God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.” (1 Corinthians 1:9)

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” (Deuteronomy 7:9)

“What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all!” (Romans 3:3-4)

Because God is faithful this means that we can:

-Always trust Him! “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5)

-Rely on Him! “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

-Rest assured that He believes in us! And because He believes in us He: “gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

-Have a great example of someone who is faithful. If you are wondering what it means to be faithful or what being faithful looks like just look through the Bible. You will find many things that can help show you what it means to be faithful.

God truly protects our hearts, loves us unconditionally, supplies all our needs, and is always there for us.

I pray that all of you may know that God is truly faithful. I pray that you began to trust fully in God because of this revelation. I pray that you share this revelation of who God is with everyone you know who is struggling with what faithfulness is. I pray that you may read through your Bible and begin to really notice and learn who God is. I pray as you do this it begins to transform your mind as you learn what that means for you!

Love, Kathleen :)

“To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.” (Isaiah 54:9-10)
